When it’s time to bring a character to life, actress Nicki Micheaux delivers. Having guest starred in numerous episodes of television’s best dramatic series, she convincingly displays the wide range of emotions that compellingly tell each and every story. From the tortured, drug-addicted sister of police officer Keith Charles (Mathew St. Patrick) on “Six Feet Under” to the fearless, undercover detective Trish George on “The Shield,” to the sexy temptress on the acclaimed Showtime series, “Soul Food,” Nicki Micheaux delivered a noteworthy performance each time.
She starred 4 seasons as Jen Sutton, a strong independent and supportive wife and mother on the ABC Family series, “Lincoln Heights,” which garnered her two NAACP Image Award Nominations for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. “Lincoln Heights” also won the NAACP award for Outstanding Drama Series and currently remains popular on TvOne.
She also stars in the Showtime feature film “Rain,” a moving film about a mother struggling with poverty and AIDS in the Bahamas, alongside CCH Pounder and Irma P. Hall. She also co-starred with Academy Award winner Halle Berry in the highly rated telefilm, “Oprah Winfrey Presents: Their Eyes Were Watching God.” She recently completed work on the Kate Beckinsale film, “Trials of Cate McCullough” and the indie horror film, “The Pact2”.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan but considers Houston, Texas her hometown. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her 2 children.
